According to Kotaku, acclaimed video game developers Id Software, creators of such hit games such as Doom, Quake, Wolfenstein and others has just been bought off by Zenimax, the Bethesda Softwork parent company.

 Whether or not this will affect Id Software in the long run in a negative fashion is yet to be seen - but with more funding, Id Software may be expected to release some truly spectatular games, now that they have much more funds at their disposal.

I'm somewhat excited by this news, but all over the internet, this has raised controversy, and many people are upset at the "death" of such a classic company. Maybe it's time for a change - let's just hope it's for the better..
