Popular browser-based MMORPG, Runescape, has had a drastic overhaul in the graphics department. This 'Runescape 3', as the fans are calling it, features real-time lighting and shadows, a very pretty water effect, a complete overhaul of the character's model - which affects all detail levels - and textures on terrain. These new graphics are said to almost par WoW in the visual department.

This 'New Runescape' is currently a members-only beta, but is expected to be released to the public within the month.
